Preserve Safe is a home canning altitude calculator and safety reference. This page explains what it stores, where that data goes, and who can see it.
Your saved recipes, batch log entries, and Preserve Safe Pro license key are stored locally on your device only (browser local storage, or on-device if installed from the App Store/Play Store). We don't run a server that collects it, and there's no account to sign into.
The installed app shows banner ads from Google AdMob unless you've bought Preserve Safe Pro. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, per Google's own privacy policy — we don't control that data flow beyond enabling the AdMob SDK. Buying Pro removes ads.
Pro purchases are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. After payment, your browser calls a small stateless Cloudflare Worker with your Stripe checkout session ID; the Worker asks Stripe "was this session paid?" and, if so, hands back a license key. The Worker keeps no database — it doesn't store your email, your purchase, or anything else about you between requests.
Pro's CSV export lets you save a copy of your batch log to your device whenever you want. Clearing your browser's site data, or uninstalling the app, removes everything stored locally.
This app is a general-audience home canning reference tool and is not directed at children.
